Optimised for fine grinding of samples with a hardness of 150 HV – 2000 HV.

When fine grinding with an Aka-Piatto 600/30 µm and/or an Aka-Piatto 1200/15 µm they remove the deformations after the plane grinding step.

When fine grinding brittle samples like ceramics, cermets or sintered carbides Aka-Piatto+ is recommended due to a lower specific pressure.

After fine grinding with Aka-Piatto 600/30 µm and Aka-Piatto 1200/15 µm the samples are ready for a 3 µm polishing step.
