Aka-Piatto 220/75 µm is used for plane grinding of individual samples, where you need to remove a lot of material.

For plane grinding of brittle samples, like ceramics, cermets and sintered carbides, Aka-Piatto+ is recommended.

Aka-Piatto and Aka-Piatto+ diamond grinding discs are ready to use. They have to be dressed with a dressing stick once in a while depending on the material being prepared. This is done to ensure continuously high material removal.
