Aka-Piatto 120/125 µm is the optimal choice for plane grinding of samples in sample holders, where you need high material removal.

If you are preparing brittle samples like ceramics, cermets and sintered carbides, Aka-Piatto+ is recommended for plane grinding.

Aka-Piatto and Aka-Piatto+ diamond grinding discs are ready to use. They have to be dressed with a dressing stick once in a while depending on the material being prepared. This is done to ensure continuously high material removal.
