Optimal for plane grinding of samples with a hardness of 150 HV – 1000 HV.

Aka-Piatto 80/250 µm (and Aka-Piatto 120/125 µm) are used for plane grinding of samples in sample holders where a large amount of material needs to be removed.

Please note that Aka-Piatto+ is recommended for plane grinding of brittle samples, like ceramics, cermets and sintered carbides.

Aka-Piatto and Aka-Piatto+ diamond grinding discs have been dressed and are ready to use. Depending on the material, they have to be opened with a dressing stick once in a while to ensure continuously high material removal.
